Benefits Of Hiring A Furniture Disassembly Service Before Your Next Move

Blog

Whether you're moving into a new home or your company is relocating to new office space, the moving process can be stressful. There are so many details that go into a move, and the actual moving day can be quite hectic. If you have oversized pieces of furniture, such as a couch, entertainment center, or large desks, you may want to consider hiring a furniture disassembly service to assist you in your move. Some of the benefits of hiring a furniture diassassembly service include:

Minimize Damage

Most people have large pieces of furniture delivered to their home or office and assembled onsite if needed. This means that few people actually know how to properly disassemble large pieces of furniture without causing any damage or ruining a component of the furniture. Professionals who are employed by a furniture disassembly service receive training in how to properly disassemble all types of furniture, which drastically decreases the chance of the furniture being damaged.

Logistics

It is not uncommon for people to plan on moving large pieces of furniture without disassembling them first. While this is possible in some situations, the logistics of a move can make moving a large piece of furniture into a new space impossible. Elevators, stairs, and narrow doorways and halls can cause major problems when moving furniture; if you know that you will encounter any of these things during your move, it is in your best interest to hire a furniture disassembly service in advance so you can have your furniture disassembled before moving day arrives.

Save Time

If you have little experience disassembling and assembling large pieces of furniture, trying to do so on your own can be a long and frustrating process. Employees from a furniture disassembly service will know how to disassemble furniture quickly so you can spend your time attending to other important details of your move. Many furniture disassembly services are also available to reassemble your furniture after it is moved to your new home or office.

Safer

Large pieces of furniture can be very heavy, and if you try to disassemble it yourself you run the risk of injuring yourself during the process. Depending on the size and weight of the furniture you need disassembled, a furniture disassembly service can send over a team of professionals to take care of the task for you. This ensures that you can make it through moving day without any injuries hindering you.

Storage Units Are a Wonderful Thing

What do you do when you have belongings you don’t want to get rid of, but have no room for? Store them is what you do! My name is Marcy. I never thought having a storage unit would be something I’d be excited about, but I am. This may sound rather odd, but I actually enjoy puttering around in my storage unit. I like to go look at some of my old books, move things around, rearrange stuff, and even visit the people who work there. I was at a loss when I first made the decision to rent a storage unit for my “overflow” stuff. I didn't know anything about the unit sizes, how to pack things, or how to arrange them in the unit. The storage facility helped me with brochures and advice, they are wonderful. I’m going to share some of the tips I’ve learned with you.
